  • Evoked Potential
  • Ambulatory EEG's (new service offered)
  • Botox Injections for appropriate neurologic conditions

EMG Testing

Electromyography (EMG), often is done along with a nerve conduction velocity study, (NCV) which measures your muscle and nerve electrical activity. Small electrodes are placed in your muscles, and the results are recorded on a special machine. These tests are used to help determine if a person's muscle weakness, pain or numbness is nerve damage, slipped disc or some other muscle program. This information is used by the neurologist to help diagnosis and assess your condition.

EEG Testing 40333.jpg

The electroencephalogram (EEG), or brain wave, is a written record of the brain's electrical activity. It is used to assist in the investigation of symptoms related to the Central Nervous System, i.e., blackouts, dizziness, headaches, confusion, or behavior problems. An instrument called an electroencephalograph registers tiny bits of electrical brain activity then prints them as wavy lines on a moving strip either on paper or on a CD. The entire test is painless and takes about an hour.

Ambulatory EEG's

Lakeside Neurocare is proud to offer this innovative service.  When this study is ordered by your physician, our technician will come to your home and hook the EEG leads to the patient.  The EEG study is done in the convenience of your own home and the reporting capabilities enable your physician to capture potential seizures as they are occurring.  Ask us more about this new innovative service.

Evoked Potential Testing

This test evaluates the function of nerve fiber pathways from arms and legs through the spinal cord into the brain. The recorded responses are from the very small amount of electrical activity produced by the brain as it receives messages from the nerves being stimulated.

Botox Injections

This new and specialized revolutionary treatment has been very effective for select patients with diagnoses of Dystonia, Blepharospasm, Torticollis, Hemiplegia and Multiple Sclerosis. Both Dr. Gu and Dr. Yi can provide this treatment to patients that meet the criteria for this treatment.
